This Friday, August 26th, Mosaic will be going to Cilantro's for a wonderful Indian dinner. This is an adult only evening. We will be meeting at 7:00pm for a lovely dinner and some great fellowship time.

There will be a raffle/auction for some really amazing items:

Tickets are $10. This is a family friendly event.

Santa Visits A Kid's Place

On December 11th, Loving God's Children visited the children at A Kid's Place and brought along a special guest. Santa Claus accompanied us to pass out presents donated by University of Dayton alumni. We also brought gingerbread men for the kids to decorate and read them the story of the Gingerbread boy while they were busily decorating there yummy cookies.

Then the kids got to have a competition to see who could wrap up their house parent the best.

This was obviously a blast for them. And here is the winner!

Then came Santa!!!

Each child received a gift with their name on it. They were so excited.

It was, again, a blessing to all of us that were allowed to come and love on these children. I can not tell you how blessed we are every time we get to go and serve them.

Mosaic Family Christmas Party

This Saturday, December 10th we will be having our annual Family Christmas Party. It will be a potluck at the Sloan's house at 5:00pm. Please rsvp to gsloan@lovinggodschildren.org so that we can get a head count. Please feel free to bring some friends. It is a great time to get to see what Mosaic is all about.

The Walk Home - Walk for Orphans

Loving God's Children hosted our first walk for orphans today. The Walk Home was created to raise awareness and to help support local missions for the orphans.

We had a really good turnout and we were able to raise a lot of money for our cause. Thank you to all of those who walked and to all of those that sponsored our walkers today. We are looking forward to next November when we will host our second walk for the orphans.

We were extremely blessed by the children who sought out sponsors and took half of their Saturday to walk for other children, orphaned children that have no voice of their own to reach the world. Watching these children advocate for other less fortunate children is what we strive to incorporate in our ministry. Thanks kids! We are humbled by your hearts.

LGC Walks for Orphans

Loving God's Children is proud to announce our first walk for orphans. The Walk Home - will be a family friendly event that takes place on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9:30am. We will start on Pauls Street at the beginning of the Brandon Parkway and walk one and a half miles to the Brandon Town Center mall.

If you are interested in joining the walk or just sponsoring someone, please contact us at gsloan@lovinggodschildren.org.

For those of you that do not live in the area, please feel free to get sponsors for the walk and walk a mile and a half in your own neighborhood or local park.

Ladies Night Out

Shop for a Cause

Loving God's Children is participating in Macy's Shop for a Cause. Tickets are $5 a piece and can be used at any Macy's or online on October 16, 2010 only. With this ticket you will get some great discounts, but most importantly Loving God's Children gets to keep ALL of the money that we raise to help support more children and their families!

Mosaic Fellowship

Saturday, September 11, 2010 is our next Mosaic event. This month we will be fellowshipping with adults only!

Please bring a dessert to share. We will be providing the beverages.

Beach Party THIS Saturday!!

We are heading to the beach this Saturday, July 10th for our Mosaic fellowship!!

We will be meeting at Ft DeSoto Beach at 4:00pm, unless it is raining. In the case that we have to cancel due to rain we will reschedule for July 17th at 4:00pm.

Once you are inside the park head towards North Beach. We will be meeting at the playground on North Beach. The address is:

Please bring food for your family and all the beach stuff you would normally bring...don't forget the bug spray!! Also, feel free to bring along some friends!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 10th at 4:00pm. Mosaic is going to the beach for a Family Beach Party! Please bring food for your family and of course don't forget your kiddos. Also you might want to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, etc., you know, anything you would normally bring if you were heading to the beach.

We are encouraging families to bring friends who might want to know who we are and what we are about. It will be a fun time for adults and kids...the more the merrier!

Mosaic Pool Party

Our Mosaic Pool Party was a blast! The kids and adults had a really good time just hanging out with each other. We were even able to meet a new family, and it was so nice getting to know Michelle and Chandler.

Mosaic Adoption Group is a wonderful group to be a part of. We encourage each other and walk life's road together. Mosaic meets once a month, and next month, July 10th, we will be heading to Fort DeSoto for an evening picnic with our families. Please feel free to join us!

Spring Event at A Kid's Place

We want to thank all of the volunteers that were able to come out and love on these precious children with us today. We had a great time with lots of games and fun for all. It blessed my heart to see the smiles on the faces of all of the children that were here today. After the games we had an Easter Egg hunt and then an amazing game of kick ball! We can not wait to come back and love on the beautiful children again soon.
